Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Relnote account and all of your server-side data from within the app:

Open the app → tap Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm.
On confirmation, your account and server-side data are deleted permanently and irreversibly.

If you can't access the app, email [email protected] from the address you used to create your account and ask us to delete it. We complete requests within 30 days.

Delete data without deleting your account

You can delete your data without closing your whole account:

Delete notes: move a note to trash, then permanently delete it from Trash. If sync is on, the deletion propagates to all your devices and the server.
Revoke sharing: remove a note's share link.

What is deleted and what is kept

Deleted permanently from the server when your account is deleted:

Your account record (email address, display name, user ID)
Your Apple / Google sign-in links
Your session and device keys (refresh tokens, etc.)
Your synced note content (end-to-end encrypted)
Share links and time capsules you created

Kept: No personal data is retained on the server after deletion. Local notes on your device are removed when you sign out or uninstall the app. Any encrypted copies that may remain in backups are fully purged within 30 days. We do not retain data except where legally required.
